Pansy had her babies!!

Pansy and I got pregnant the same weekend.  No kidding.  Joe and I had planned a trip to DC for the 4th of July, and Pansy went into heat the week before.  So I found a Shih-tzu breeder who happened to also board dogs.  So in a two for one deal, she kept Pansy for the long weekend and bred her with the sire.


And 63 days later, Pansy has puppies and I am 10 weeks preggo!

We came home from the grocery store Monday night, and Maggie comes running back from her bedroom saying "Mommy, there's noises coming from my room!!"  Yes indeed, little bleats from the first two of four pups were coming from behind Maggie's bed!  I helped Pansy deliver the last two and she has been a wonderful mother ever since.  She moved them once to a place further under Maggie's bed, then just yesterday she moved them into our bedroom closet.

Here's Pansy hiding out with them under the bed.  They are soooo warm and soft!!
