Activity TV Website for Kids
When someone comes across a good thing, I like to hear about it. So I'll so the same for you. I have no affiliation with this website, other than my kids have spent hours on it. And we have countless crafts around the house because of it. It is called "Activity TV".
We first came across Activity TV back when we had cable TV (we've since relieved our house of that monster). It was available through the On-Demand menu. If you subscribe to Cox (I'm only kidding about the monster thing) they probably still offer it. But even better is the immediate access to all of the tutorials directly through the activitytv.com website.
Even Will, who just turned six and is in kindergarten, can navigate to a topic of interest and watch a how-to video. He likes learning how to build paper airplanes and origami. Maggie, who is eight and in second grade is a master crafter. She loves the crafts, cartooning, and jewelry sections. They weill often watch the same video several times in a row to absorb all of the details. Sometimes they will want to launch into a creation right away, sometimes the fun is simply in the watching and learning. Kind of like me and cooking shows.
